Sweet Sienna Stunner

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Shayla actually doing a blog post! I did this look over the past weekend, and just had to share it with you. Not to mention, I realized you guys hadn’t seen my new hair yet!

My hair is now a dark brown-ish base color with the ombré effect to the ends. It looks great now, but when I had initially gotten it done (this was a re-do by the color specialist), the guy did “highlights” that I couldn’t even see (ie: my friends couldn’t tell I had done anything to my hair). Needless to say, I wasn’t going to pay $150 for that, so I complained and got it re-done, and came back with what you’ll see today. I used hot rollers for my hair for these pics, so you may not be able to see it super well, but you can definitely tell there’s a neat ombré effect when my hair is straight! I’m really enjoying it!

I was thinking about what to do for my makeup this past Saturday (as discussed before, I usually put it a bit more effort on the weekend), and it occurred to me that it had been ages since I had used Sweet Sienna pigment. I really need to use this color more! I also wanted to take my new MAC lipstick, Pink Plaid, out for a test drive. I had gone to the “Hey, Sailor!” event that MAC Southgate hosted, and the gal used Pink Plaid when she did me up, and I liked the matte dusty rose color it was, so I bought it.

I’m still ridiculously busy and am just enjoying summer for now, so I don’t have a ton of time for blogging. That being said, I found a few posts I had finished writing previously that I’ll adapt and post over the next little while here...so you won’t be totally deprived of my charm! ;)
